Launching our new video series - Inside Tech Law Talks

September 08, 2020
Inside Tech Law Talks is our new video series providing short updates on recent developments and key issues facing technology and consumer businesses, including insight into AI liability and governance, industrial and non-personal data, foreign investment control regimes, competition law / anti-trust issues in relation to disruptive technologies, tax changes, supply chain realignment, and European regulatory proposals.

Accelerated by the global pandemic, companies are increasingly looking to digitise their business, turning to disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence, the internet of things, blockchain and distributed ledger technologies, in order to drive efficiencies, enhance governance and remain competitive in what is becoming an increasingly regulated environment. Our video series will explore some of the risks of digital disruption, as well as the competitive opportunities afforded by a coherent digitisation strategy.

In the first video in the series, Competition partner, Caroline Thomas speaks about failing firm mergers, in particular to explain how the competition authorities approach them, what recent guidance there has been and what we can expect to see in relation to failing firm mergers in the coming months.
